Description

This document describes the data included in the Higher Education Entrants and Qualifiers by their Level 2 and 3 Attainment statistical release’s underlying data files.

Coverage

This release refers only to higher education students at UK providers from academic years 2016/17 and 2021/22 in the following population:

• English domiciled
• Studying full time
• First year of study
• Studying for their first degree
• Studying for their first level 6 qualification (excluding Integrated Master’s Degree, a Foundation Degree and other level 4/5 courses, or a higher level apprenticeship in the cohort year of entry) 

File formats and conventions

‘c’ indicates that figures and percentages are suppressed because of small underlying counts of entrants

Completion rates are rounded to one decimal place

All numbers are rounded to the nearest five
