Data dashboards

Data dashboards provide an alternative route to explore a statistical release's data, presenting key statistics and further insights, often via graphical visualisations.

Access the Teacher workforce analysis dashboard (opens in new tab) here.

The Teacher workforce analysis dashboard (opens in new tab) is updated in line with the ‘Teacher demand and postgraduate trainee need’ publication annually. The latest data relates to the April 2026 publication and will display teacher demand trajectories, PGITT trainee need and trajectories of the flows into and out of the teacher workforce. Data is available across state-funded primary and secondary schools and can be broken down by individual secondary subject.

Underlying data can be found within this publication and also within the ‘Calculation of 2026-27 postgraduate initial teacher training (PGITT) trainee need and related data’ and ‘Calculation of drivers of 2026-27 postgraduate ITT trainee need’ files within this publication.
