Data guidance

Description of the data sets included in this release, including information on data sources, coverage, quality and any data conventions used.

Description: The data files provided through this publication show aggregate level figures for attainment, absence, exclusions and suspensions, and characteristics for pupils attending targeted RISE intervention schools. Figures are compared to equivalent national averages for all pupils at state funded mainstream schools.

Coverage: The targeted RISE intervention schools covered by the figures in this release are the 399 mainstream schools from among the 419 schools that had enrolled on the targeted RISE intervention programme as of May 2026 and which were still eligible for intervention. 

Data conventions: The presented figures are rounded on the same basis as used in the relevant national level publications.
