Delivery of air cleaning units

Department for Education (DfE) uses administrative data from its delivery partners to determine the number of air cleaning units delivered to schools following an announcement by Government to fulfil all eligible applications from state-funded education settings, including early years, schools and further education providers, for up to 9000 air cleaning for use in poorly ventilated teaching spaces where quick fixes to improve ventilation are not possible.

To ensure the data quality of the numbers provided by delivery partners, delivery instructions were cross-checked the numbers in proof of delivery updates. These are received by the air cleaning unit supplier, Rexel, who are sent this via their delivery courier, SW Transport. Rexel are also using their own fleet for smaller deliveries. The proof of delivery includes the day and time of delivery, including who signed for it.
