Footnotes
- For the 2024 calendar year, Dorset and City of London have classed all newly issued EHC plans as having permitted exceptions to the 20 week statutory timeframe. For 2025, Norfolk classed all newly issued EHC plans as having permitted exceptions to the 20 week statutory timeframe.
- For 2024, Lewisham have informed us that data is incorrect, therefore timeliness figures for Lewisham are suppressed.
- Brighton and Hove did not return information on primary need in the 2026 data collection.
- Information on primary type of need indicates the nature of the person’s special educational need and does not indicate prevalence of a medical condition or diagnosis within the population.
- Leicester were unable to provide request or assessment dates in the 2026 data collection. This will affect calculation of assessments, requests and the numbers of plans issued within 20 weeks during the 2025 calendar year. Where "no data" is shown no dates were returned.
- Figures for the Isle of Wight for the 2025 calendar year and 2025/26 academic year are suppressed due to issues with data quality.
