Footnotes

1. Total achievements are the count of Apprenticeships achieved at any point during the stated academic period. Learners achieving more than one Apprenticeship will appear more than once.
2. Age for starts is based on age at the start of the programme
3. A learner may record multiple LLDD categories but must indicate which of these is the primary disability, difficulty or health problem. Overall ‘Primary LLDD and health problem’ totals may not match the main LLDD figures
4. Volumes are rounded to the nearest 10 and '~' indicates a base value of fewer than 5 but greater than 0
5. Participation is the count of learners that participated at any point during the year. Learners undertaking more than one course will appear only once in the grand total
6. Age, gender, learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities and ethnicity are based upon self-declaration by the learner
7. Ethnicity categories and BAME (black, Asian and minority ethnic groups) have been aligned with the ethnicities recorded in the 2011 UK Census
8. Participation at intermediate, advanced and higher levels is a count of learners that participated at those levels at any point during the year. Learners undertaking more than one course will only appear once at each level but can appear in the count at more than one level
9. Age for apprenticeship participation is based on age as at 31 August of the academic year
10. Age for achievements is based on age at the start of the programme, not the age at which they achieved
