Footnotes
- Age for apprenticeship participation is based on age as at 31 August of the academic year.
- Age for starts is based on age at the start of the programme.
- Total starts are the count of apprenticeships started at any point during the stated academic period. Learners starting more than one Apprenticeship will appear more than once.
- Data prior to 2014/15 adapted from previously published Level, SSA and data framework tool (opens in a new tab) for starts and apprenticeships-participation-by-level-age (opens in a new tab) for participation- click link for detailed footnotes. Data from 2014/15 onwards extracted from ILR database. Figures are rounded to the nearest 10 except for Grand Totals for starts and all data for participation prior to 2014/15, which are rounded to 100.
