Footnotes

1. Design & Technology: includes food technology and engineering.
2. Degree Class: 2:1 includes undivided 2nd.
3. 2020/21 postgraduate totals do not include forecasts in this table.
4. Total Ebacc: EBacc here includes English, mathematics, modern foreign languages, physics, biology, chemistry, history, geography, computing and classics. Trainees on the 'PE with Ebacc' programme are not included.
5. Figures for 2020/21 are provisional and are subject to change. Figures for 2019/20 have been revised.
6. Total with known degree: excludes trainees whose degree classes are unknown.
7. Other degree class: includes international degrees which have different grading classes, degree classes below 2:2, and other. It excludes trainees whose degrees classed as not known or not applicable.
8. Other: includes media and communication studies, social studies, and psychology.
9. Troops to Teachers are excluded from all figures.
10. Postgraduate Teaching Apprenticeship: The postgraduate teaching apprenticeship (PGTA) was introduced in 2018/19.
11. Data was extracted on 13 November 2020.
12. Physical Education: includes dance.
13. Business studies: includes economics
14. Subject: The subject given here is ITT subject and may not be the same as the subject of the undergraduate degree held.
15. Primary: Prior to 2018/19, a small number of Primary trainees on subject specialist courses were reported against their subject specialism and were included in Total Secondary. From 2018/19, they are reported as Primary.
