Footnotes

  1. Includes temporary staff but excludes volunteer staff and apprentices. Staff that do not work directly with children e.g. administrative staff are excluded.
  2. Figures show the highest level of qualification held in early years and teaching-related subjects.
  3. A very small proportion of staff have an overseas qualification as their highest level of qualification.  These staff are included in "no UK early years qualification".
