  1. Where Investment in Training figures for years preceding 2022 are presented, they may differ from those presented in earlier reports due to a change in the methodology used for calculating the labour cost up-weight. Please see Chapter 3 of the accompanying technical report for further detail.
  2. 2011 to 2022 training expenditure figures have been adjusted to reflect inflation, so that in effect they are presented in ‘2024 prices.’ The adjustments used were an uplift of 43.4% for 2011; 35.9% for 2013; 33.9% for 2015; 29.5% for 2017; 24.2% for 2019; and 10.0% for 2022.
