Footnotes
- Includes temporary staff but excludes volunteer staff and apprentices. Staff that do not work directly with children, such as administrative staff, are also excluded.
- Due to the small number of males reported on the survey as working in maintained nursery schools and voluntary group-based providers, figures for these provider types are not shown in the tables. Instead, figures for "all school-based providers" and for "all group-based providers" are grouped together.
