- Total achievements are the count of Apprenticeships achieved at any point during the stated academic period. Learners achieving more than one Apprenticeship will appear more than once.
- Percentages are rounded to one decimal place and calculated on unrounded volumes. '~' indicates a percentage below 0.5%
- Age for starts is based on age at the start of the programme
- Participation is the count of learners that participated at any point during the year. Learners undertaking more than one course will appear only once in the grand total
- Age, gender, learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities and ethnicity are based upon self-declaration by the learner
- A minor amendment to how we count ‘starts supported by Apprenticeship Service Account (ASA) levy funds’ has been applied from 2020/21, please see the ‘About these statistics’ section
- Participation at intermediate, advanced and higher levels is a count of learners that participated at those levels at any point during the year. Learners undertaking more than one course will only appear once at each level but can appear in the count at more than one level
- Age for apprenticeship participation is based on age as at 31 August of the academic year
- Age for achievements is based on age at the start of the programme, not the age at which they achieved
