- Includes temporary staff but excludes volunteer staff and apprentices. Staff that do not work directly with children, such as administrative staff, are also excluded.
- Figures show the highest level of qualification held in early years and teaching-related subjects.
- A very small proportion of staff have an overseas qualification as their highest level of qualification. These staff are included in "no UK early years qualification".
- [u] Staff qualifications data for school-based provider staff in 2023 are not shown because insufficient data were collected about the qualifications held by Early Years Co-ordinators.
