Footnotes

  1. The majority of 4-year-olds are in infant classes in primary schools and will be in receipt of the school-age pupil premium, rather than the early years pupil premium.
  2. Before using this table please check the methodology section for important information such as definitions, limitations and caveats about the data that may not be included in these footnotes.
  3. In order to receive early years pupil premium parents must alert the provider that they meet the eligibility criteria. The figures in the table therefore show the number of children in receipt of early years pupil premium. Early years pupil premium only applies to 3- and 4-year-old children benefiting from funded early education.
  4. The “Other” criteria covers where a child is eligible due to being in care or due to leaving care through adoption, a special guardianship order or a child arrangement order.
  5. Count of children aged 3 and 4 at 31 December in the previous calendar year, excluding those at general hospital schools
