- When using this data, please see our data tables (by clicking ‘Explore Data’) for the Educational Setting Status Form response rate associated with school led tutoring statistics and the flags on the number of responses and the response rate.
- Estimates regarding school participation and starts made on courses by pupils on school-led tuition and NTP in 2021/22 are based on the Educational Setting Status form survey. This survey is not completed by all schools. A 100% participation rate suggests that all responding schools are participating in school led tutoring or NTP, however, this is not necessarily the case for all non-responding schools. We assume that non-responding schools resemble responding schools and do not adjust for non-response bias. Because we have to infer what non-responding schools are doing from responding schools, estimates are uncertain. Local Authority estimates are often derived from small samples and should therefore be treated with caution, particularly when comparing against previous estimates. Please see methodology for more details and flags in data tables.
